We started this week announcing 7 matches from China. And now we end it with more good news! 

Good news from Taiwan: Micah has a family! We wish the best for this precious little guy and his family!

We also learned that Andrew, also from Taiwan, has a family through another agency. We are excited for him and his family and wish them all the best as they move forward!

Right now our precious little Nyle is spending his last few days in an orphanage. On Christmas day he and his family will get the most amazing gift anyone could receive: FAMILY. 

We are wrapping up this year with such joy as we celebrate the beautiful things that are happening. May your holidays be blessed and full of love.

Two boys, one Christmas wish... to be adopted together. 

Anderson and Morgan do not share biology but they do share one amazing bond! These two precious boys are foster brothers. A connection that is undeniable says the foster mom. When the topic of adoption is raised, both boys express their desire to remain brothers and be adopted together. This isn’t a typical situation and there is no guarantee that this will become a reality, but their social worker is willing to try to keep them together!

Now about the boys... 

Anderson just celebrated his 11th birthday. We actually were able to sing to him while there last month! When asked to describe himself he says he is happy, optimistic, enjoys helping others and is popular with his classmates. His favorite class is PE. He doesn’t care much for reading. Anderson also shared his favorite color is red and he loves eating dumplings. It’s noted in his file that he has some mild cognitive delays and receives additional assistance at school. 

Morgan is 9 years old. When asked to describe himself he said, “I don’t know. Handsome and smart.” - all with a huge grin on his face. His favorite subject is math. He prefers playing indoors with Legos and reading a good book. Morgan also shared he loves stinky tofu and the color blue. There are no known medical needs noted in his file. 

These handsome boys are a pleasure to spend time with. The SK team enjoyed sharing with them the agility drills and even some puzzle challenges. Through sit-ups, push-ups and even some dribble time we experienced their genuine sweetness. Anderson, shy and quiet, smiled occasionally as he was nervous meeting us. Morgan was a little more generous with his smiles – and did his face ever light up when he created a challenging puzzle for Nancy to complete!

Two boys – so alike and yet different and unique in their own way. And they share one Christmas wish... to be adopted together. Could you be the family they can call their own? Can't you just see her ripping the paper off of gifts, laughing at the ribbons and bows, grabbing ornaments off the tree... This could be a reality for Rebecca by next Christmas.

Rebecca is 13 months old and has CHD (VSD). She has surgery in April of 2017 and since then her development has really taken off! She is now sitting and rolling. She responds to her name and can feed herself small finger foods. If you do not pay attention to her when you enter the room she will babble to get your attention.

She likes to be held and get jealous if the caregivers hold the other babies in the room. When someone pays attention to her, her whole face lights up with a smile. She needs a family so that she gets all of the love and cuddles her little heart desires, don't you think?

Lester!

We're starting the week off with a video! Just look at this sweet little guy! 

He is almost 2 and has hydrocephalus. He has a shunt and is developing very well! In his file it states that he laughs easily and loves to be lively. He has learned to sit independently and crawls very fast. He is beginning to use some simple words and understands what is said to him.

He is curious about new things and will play with a new toy for a long time. He feeds himself small snacks and he likes to have his caregiver's attention. He has learned how to get their attention if they are busy for awhile. He crawls to them and calls them until they pick him up and hug him.

There are so many children waiting for homes! If someone steps forward today sweet Holly could be home by next Christmas. One of the things people worry about with adopting older children is all of the first things they miss out on as parents. But, no matter the age of the child, there are also so many first things adoptive parents get to experience! Imagine experiencing the magic of Christmas for the first time with Holly next year!

Holly is an almost 10 year old girl with an unusual story. She was in a vehicle accident several years ago that resulted in paralysis in her legs. She is a sweet child who does well at school. She has been spoken to about international adoption and has expressed a desire to be adopted.

She likes to write and draw. She enjoys listening to music. She is a chatty little girl who enjoys visiting with her friends about her day. She uses a wheelchair to get around. Our team met her last October and were very impressed with her and touched by her story.
