Rosie!!

It's Friday and I need you to see some videos. You need to see these. Just trust me on this.

Rosie is 4 years old and her special need is that her fontanelles closed prematurely and she had an abnormal brain scan. She has some developmental delays. Our pediatric physical therapist will be glad to speak with interested families about her.

Drew {Taiwan}

We bring to you today the adventurous, fun-loving boy, Drew! Our adventures included bubble blowing, measuring how tall he is, Lego building, handwriting, and even silliness with the electric tooth brush. He is a load of fun!

He is active and curious all while also being equally as caring. His relationship with his friends is so sweet to experience. As he worked on his Lego car he asked his friend to help. It was just so adorable to watch the two interact.

He also has the sweetest relationship with his case worker. It's precious to see the connection and trust they have built searching for his forever family.

Drew has the sweetest smile and the most fluffy eye lashes. His giggle is contagious.

Super Sweet Skylar!

We have a precious little girl to introduce today. Sweet Skylar! She just turned 2, and has the cutest little grin!

The notes we have on her are all things like "very sweet!" "loves playing" and "happy". She is walking, running, jumping, and stands on one foot. She stacks blocks and giggles when they fall over.

Skylar's only listed medical need is a blocked tear duct, but her file is a little bit obscure and possibly mentions some other issues families would need to discuss with their doctor and be aware of. We have met her several times and are happy to answer questions about her as well.

Skylar is in a foster home and seems to be doing very well there! She seemed very connected and comfortable with her foster mom as you can tell.

Mackenzie {Taiwan}

Mackenzie is a fun, sweet, and silly 9 year old. She has such a happy and fun personality – and a great smile. She was able to find humor in a lot of our activities together. As long as we made something a game, she was up for doing whatever we needed her to do! We have some really great photos from our trip that show off her personality!

She told us that she loves to knit – how adorable is that?! Her foster mother shared that she also likes to play pranks on her foster siblings – this girl is a goofball. But a wonderful goofball!

Mackenzie has microcephaly and mild cognitive delays. She is currently in resource classes at school which have really helped her gain confidence in her learning.

Harley!!

This was our second time to meet Harley. We thought she was sooooo cute last time, and I'm here to tell you that she just keeps getting cuter!

Harley is 2 years old and has Down syndrome. She is in a foster home and has a very loving foster mom whom we have met many times. Harley seems to be thriving!

She is a happy, giggly little girl who smiles quickly and loves to play with people. She stacks blocks together and bangs toys, she crawls and sits by herself.She pulls herself to a standing position and is beginning to walk. She makes noises, but she isn't saying words yet. She is such a sweetie and so fun to play with!

Moe! {Taiwan}

Climb aboard... introducing 10 year old Moe! 

From the moment he stepped foot in the room his smile was wide. He is so fun loving and adventurous. His climbing skills are fabulous as he was quick to show us he could master the rope ladder. His smile was joined by laughter the moment he began to play ball with us. At one point with a ball in each hand it appears that he is feeding the hippo. Gotta love those fun moments... he giggled as we showed him pictures and he surprised us as he said "time out" in English! 

Each of the moments we spent together was precious. Moe was so respectful and genuinely interested to see what skill tests he would get to do. As he showed us his handwriting and answered questions we got to experience his connection to his foster dad. Total sweetness! He also showed us his creative skills as he worked the Tetris puzzles.

Evelyn!

We met Evelyn!

It never ceases to amaze me how different it is to write an advocacy post after you have met a child! Let me tell you about Evelyn now that we have met her and seen this cuteness in person!

Evelyn is 2. She has Down syndrome and CHD. And she is the cutest, sweetest, silliest little 2 year old girl you could hope to meet!

She is walking by herself and really aced all of our little developmental things we do with little ones. She scribbles and stacks blocks and she is all about the baby puffs! Believe me, she can grab them and get those things to her mouth no problem!

She understands simple commands, though her caregiver pointed out that she also likes to pick and choose which of those commands she actually follows. She is 2, after all.

There was a whole group of little ones in the room with her and the caregivers were singing little songs with them and doing hand motions. She was right in there doing the motions! So, so cute!
