There is an artist in the house! Meet 9 year old Demi. She entered the room all shy and close to her foster mom. Soon we found that she likes to draw. Her inspiration was a page in the coloring book. We all gathered around as she created her very own master piece. A bunny first and then a big butterfly.
Her sweet relationship with both her caseworker and foster mom shone through like sunshine. The giggles they shared and eye contact was just so precious to experience. Demi's foster mom told us that she is usually pretty active with an easy-going personality and a sense of humor. Demi told us that she has a lot of friends at school who she likes to play on the playground with.
Demi has mild thoracolumbar scoliosis and G6PD deficiency - which is typically a very manageable condition.
Demi is searching for her forever family. Let's join together in sharing about this precious little lady. Wouldn't it be fabulous for her next masterpiece to be a drawing of her forever family?!
Please contact Mary Chapman at mary.chapman@gladney.org for more information on Demi.
Dixie {Taiwan}

Introducing 7 year old Dixie - a true girlie-girl.
Where to start... this beautiful young lady is such a pleasure to be around. Dixie loves jewelry and was so excited to be able to create her very own bead bracelet. She also thoroughly enjoyed eating her gummy snacks in the comfort of the Elsa tent.
Dixie told us that her favorite thing to do is to play pretend games. Especially when she pretends she is a princess! Through all of our adventures she blew us away... a master bubble blower while hopping on one foot and all!
Dixie has a congenital kidney defect and some delays. She currently does not need any treatment and just maintains a low sodium diet.
Dixie is in search of a family to call just her own... a forever family. Could she be your precious bead loving, bubble blowing daughter? We have so much to share... ask away! Please contact Mary Chapman at mary.chapman@gladney.org for more information.

Lyle!!
Monday, January 9, 2017
Lyle walked into the room rocking his cute jacket and "fountain" hairstyle when we saw him in October. If possible, I think he was even cuter than the last time we saw him!
Lyle is a happy, silly 4 year old boy who loves to laugh! He has a chromosomal disorder as well as a Hepatitis B.
His foster mom reports that he is very curious about everything! He attends kindergarten in the orphanage. He counts to 10 and speaks in complete sentences. He did really well with all of the gross and fine motor skills type of things we had with us. He buttons his clothes by himself, strings beads, puts together puzzles, etc. He runs, jumps, and likes to play ball!
Over all this sweet little boy seems to be doing really well! Lyle needs a family! Could he be your son? Please contact us at superkids@gladney.org for more information.

Dale {Taiwan}

Meet 7 year old Dale! Dale is lively, kind, and loves playing with other kids. He was a little shy with us because he was nervous, but we saw his sweet smile shine through during our interview. Soon, he was happy to play with the balls and other toys in the room.
Dale is in the 2nd grade and told us that he has 10 friends at school – mostly girls! He enjoys school and likes reading storybooks, as long as they have plenty of pictures. He likes to spend his free time drawing or watching robot warrior cartoons. His favorite food is chocolate!
Dale is living in foster care. His foster mother told us that he is very well behaved and is good at listening and following instructions.
Dale is healthy with no medical needs. Could he be your son? For more information on Dale, please contact Mary Chapman at mary.chapman@gladney.org.
Noelle
Wednesday, January 4, 2017
We have met Noelle every time we have gone to the orphanage where she lives. Each time we are impressed again with how sweet and smiley she is.
Noelle is 8 years old and her listed special need is hydrocephalus, although when we saw her in October they told us that on a recent CT scan it did not show hydrocephalus. Her file also states that she has "mental retardation" and I am so worried that that is going to scare families off! She is catching up and doing so well! Please give this sweet girl a chance!!
When she came to the orphanage, around age 2 she was very delayed, but with time and therapy she has made great strides! She is attending school and has caught up with her peers. She is seen by her caregivers as a leader among the other children. She likes to help younger children.
She strings beads and counts to 10. She engages in reciprocal conversation and answers questions. She gets frustrated if she is unable to complete a school assignment. She takes care of her own needs with bathing, dressing, etc.
Noelle is such a sweetheart and she needs a family! Could she be your daughter? Please contact us at superkids@gladney.org for more information.
