Are you ready for this? Your heart is about to be stolen.
Meet Auggie.
He is not even 1 year old yet. He has hearing impairment and one side of his tongue is a little smaller than the other. When we met him in April he seemed to be very age appropriate in his development.
His little smile is just the sweetest! He is described as a calm, happy baby. And it was easy to tell his caregiver cared about him a lot.
There is just something about seeing a baby in all their chubby baby cuteness that makes your day just a little brighter. Could Auggie be your son? Contact mary.chapman@gladney.org for information.
We will be posting photos of Auggie that we can't post publicly in our private Taiwan Facebook group. Be sure you join so you don't miss them!
Kevin

We posted about Kevin quite a while ago and recently requested to get his file back. We have a recent update and oh my! has this cutie ever made great progress!He is now 4 years old and is described as interactive and curious.
Kevin has shunted hydrocephalus. He is talking and has a very good understanding of what is said to him. He can follow instruction. He recognizes and can identify familiar people, objects, pictures, colors, and some body parts.
He loves to sing and knows a few English songs. He also enjoys listening to stories, watching movies, writing, and drawing. He knows his name and age and counts to 10. He is able to feed himself.
He sits and stands with support but is not yet walking, crawling, or able to turn over. He receives daily therapy for mild left hand and leg weakness. He takes a seizure medication and has not had a seizure in a very long time.
This sweet little guy needs a family! He is currently cared for by the Butterfly Home where he is dearly loved. They know the best thing for him would be to have a family. It is their hope that his family will see him and fall in love with him as hey have!
Please contact us at superkids@gladney.org for more information.
P.S. We cannot share pictures or videos of Kevin publicly, but we are happy to share with interested families, just ask!

Eli
Tuesday, July 24, 2018
Eli is only 2 years old and as cute as can be! He is described as the most active child in his group and, though he wasn't walking when his file was prepared he could pull himself up and dance to music!
He is an outgoing little fellow and loves to be held. He is likes to play with other children but is closest to his caregivers.
When his file was prepared, just before his second birthday, he was sitting independently and could stand alone, but was not yet walking. It sounds like he was close though, so I'm guessing he has taken off by now.
This sweet little guy has "delayed mental development" according to his file. It also states that he is making great progress and "getting better and better".
Eli needs a family open to some uncertainties. Could he be your son? Please contact us at superkids@gladney.org for more information.

Annika

Annika is a darling 5 year old girl who giggles easily and is very talkative. She lives with a foster family and has learned so much since moving in with them. She has a younger foster sibling whom she loves very much.
She feeds herself with a spoon and has a good appetite. She likes to play hide and seek with her foster mom and will hide in the closet and with for her mom to find her. She goes up and down steps by herself and likes to run. Sometimes she plays games outside with her foster family. She loves to wear colorful clothes and look beautiful. Sometimes in the morning when her mom is too busy to braid her hair, she tries to do it herself.
Annika’s speech is difficult to understand though she talks a lot and is learning to speak in longer sentences. This is the only need listed in her file.
She is such a cute little girl who sounds absolutely charming! Could she be the missing piece in your family? Please contact us at superkids@gladney.org for more information!
Andre {Taiwan}
Thursday, July 19, 2018
Andre is a little 3 year old boy from Taiwan. He was an absolute joy to play with when we met him in April.
Andre has hearing impairment in one ear, but he is speaking in short sentences and he understands and follows simple instructions. He also has mild anemia.
We used words like enthusiastic and active to describe him. He stacked blocks and put a simple puzzle together for us. He did great with all of the running, jumping, climbing, and playing with the ball type of things we asked him to do.
Andre is a precious little guy who needs a family! Could that be you? Please contact mary.chapman@gladney.org for more information.
As always, be sure to join our private Taiwan Facebook group to see pictures and videos we can't share publicly!

Ami {Taiwan}
Tuesday, July 17, 2018
Ami is such a beautiful little girl who is well behaved and does well in school. She is attached to her foster family and helpful for her teacher at school.
Ami has no known medical needs. She is described as gentle, obedient, clever, and helpful by her foster mom. She was quiet and shy when we met her. They told us it takes her a little while to warm up to new people.
She easily did all the puzzles and tasks we asked her to do. She did addition, subtraction, multiplication and long division problems with ease. When asked she said her favorite subject in school is PE.
Ami is waiting for her family! Could she be your daughter? Please contact mary.chapman@gladney.org.
