Meet Oakley, a pretty little 9 year old girl who is waiting for her family!

Oakley has hypothyroidism for which she is being treated. She also has some developmental delays.
She likes to help her foster mom with chores when she gets home from school in the afternoon. She attends a special education school where she does well and gets along well with the teachers and students

Oakley has good self-care skills and recites ancient poetry. Are file indicates that, while it may be hard for her to memorize poems, shakeups working on them until she knows them and she loves to recite them for people.

She has great understanding of what is said to her, and she has a good vocabulary, but her file does indicate that her speech is slow and a little difficult to understand. But it sounds like she is a bit of a chatterbox and likes to tell her foster mom about her day at school and about the books she is reading.
