Are You Ready to Lose Your Heart?

Are you ready to lose your heart to a little boy?
See what I mean?
This is Anderson. He is four years old. He is described as lively and happy. He treats people politely and gets along well with his peers. It is noted that he is good at stringing beads and folding paper.
Anderson's special needs are dental issues and a speech delay. He can speak simple words and is learning self care skills such as dressing himself.
My favorite memory from meeting Anderson is how he played with a little toy crane. He was very imaginative in using the crane to pull other toys and he made all of the appropriate crane noises to go with it! It was adorable!
Could this sweet little boy be your son?

This is Andy
Friday, December 26, 2014
I have an extraordinary boy to introduce to you today. We are calling him Andy and his courage and cheerful attitude are an inspiration to those of us who have met him.
Andy is 13 years old, he will turn 14 in June, meaning that his chance to be adopted will be forever over. This means that his situation is urgent! He needs a family right now in order to be able to complete the paperwork and get to China before his birthday!
Andy attends public school and does well there. His favorite subject is art. He is described as respectful and cheerful and he gets along well with his peers.
Andy's special need is a limb difference in his leg. His upper leg bone is bowed and shortened and he uses a crutch to walk. Believe me, this doesn't slow him down at all!
This wonderful young man has so much potential and he needs a family who can help him to develop that potential. Could he be your son?
For more information about Andy please contact April Uduhiri at april.uduhiri@gladney.org.

Our Christmas Miracle
Tuesday, December 23, 2014
It's a story that has been unfolding for a year and a half. In June of 2013 we met a beautiful girl whom we all fell in love with. She was with her foster father when we first met her and they requested that we try to find a family for her. We promised we would, and silently prayed that her family would be easy to find.

We saw her again in June of 2014. This time she assured us that we shouldn't feel bad if we couldn't find her a family. We all knew the clock was ticking and that time was running out as her 14th birthday (when children in China become ineligible for adoption) was only 6 months away. Again we came away realizing what a special girl this was!

On Monday, she met her family. She is now officially adopted, three days before her birthday. One of the things she said she hoped for in a family was siblings. Well, now she has them. And she has a wonderful mom and dad who will give her every opportunity they can.
What a beautiful Christmas miracle!
Superkids 2014 Memories {Flashback Friday- Hannah}
Friday, December 19, 2014
The following was written by Hannah Sams, a Superkids volunteer, who traveled to China for the first time in 2014. She helped with recording data and taking video. She has such a special touch with little ones! If a child seemed nervous or upset Hannah was always right there to comfort them and make them feel safe.
When I traveled to China this past summer with Superkids I was expecting many new experiences and emotions but I wasn't expecting these kids to grab my heart and never let go.
I met a sassy two year old. Oh, was she ever a two year old! She was a tiny spit fire who wanted to be held and let us all know she didn't like it when I put her down.
And there were so many more. Waiting to fit into their family like a missing puzzle piece to complete a beautiful picture. It is so exciting to hear of one of these kids being matched and going home to their family. Another unique, beautiful picture completed!!
Christopher

See this handsome young man? We are calling him Christopher and he is ten years old. The Superkids team met Christopher in 2013 and again in 2014. He is such a sweet, cheerful boy. We all loved it when Gongzhan had him eating bananas and lifting water bottles to try to build up his strength!
Christopher has a degenerative disease. He can't move his legs and is not continent. Christopher is very smart and loves school. Someone from the orphanage drives him to school, they carry him to his desk where he remains until school is over.
Christopher has an impish grin and wonderful laugh. He loved playing Candy Crush on Gongzhan's iPad. He also really enjoyed the hats we took in 2014. You have to admit that he looks pretty good in them too!
Christopher needs a family who will love him no matter what the future holds for him. Could he be your son?
