Five-year-old Henri is one of those boys with a sparkle in his eyes.
He was born missing his left tibia (club foot) but he doesn't let that stop him! His caretakers describe him as quiet, shy and obedient, and he enjoys humming along with songs on the television.
He has expressed his wish to have a family of his very own. We will be meeting him next week, so should have updated information soon!
Could you be his family? Please contact Mary Chapman at mary.chapman@gladney.org for more information!

Hayden is 6 years old!
He has thalassemia and related siderosis. What a lovely, sweet smile this boy has! He pulls you right in.
The Superkids team will be meeting Hayden this month. Can you image how well this lively little boy would do in a family of his very own?

Look at baby Gia!
Gia is 19 months old and has a congenital heart defect, an ear deformity, arthrogryposis, and hip dysplasia.
She coos and responds to trusted caretakers, and when the Superkids team saw her last fall, right after her first birthday, she was starting to test her walking abilities with the aid of rails or a baby walker!
She loves music, especially the sounds of a toy bell she likes to play with best. Could this lovely baby be your daughter?
Please contact Mary Chapman at mary.chapman@gladney.org for more information!

Look at sweet little Heather!
Heather is 6 years and has Turner syndrome. It is noted that she is fond of listening to music! So those music players that we are taking with us to China will be just perfect for her!
Heather speaks in complete sentences and can answer question when asked. She counts to ten and knows her colors.
She jumps, walks on tip toe, and can kick a ball. She enjoys singing as well as listening to music. She also likes to look at picture books.
We will be meeting Heather next week! I can't wait! She is also one of the advocacy camp children, so I'm sure we will have lots of photos and videos very soon!
For more information about Heather please contact April Uduhiri at april.uduhiri@gladney.org.

This is the week...

| Ready to start in Shanghai on our last trip! |
we leave for China!
On Friday and Saturday we will be wending our way to China from all over the US. There are many more people traveling than we have on an average trip. The Advocacy Camp is happening at the same time as our other Superkids trip, so I'm guessing it's going to make for some interesting times traveling in China!
There are several ways you can follow us while we are in China! Of course you can follow us here on the blog. We are planning to post here twice a day. Once with advocacy camp updates, and once with Superkids team updates, so be sure you check in often! We will also be posting on our Facebook page. Like that page to see photos and videos as we go! And then there is Periscope. We will be streaming live videos on Periscope like we did on our last trip! If you aren't familiar with Periscope you can download the free app on Apple or Android devices then search for Superkids. Follow us there and you will get a notification when we are live! The videos are available for 24 hours so even if you miss the live stream you can still watch the video!
No guarantees, but if you are a waiting parent you just might catch a glimpse of your child in the photos and videos we will be sharing!
A huge thank you to each of you who have contributed to this trip, financially and through giving items we can take to the kids! Everything on our wish list was purchased, then we added some music players, and those were purchased, then I added a few bigger players for older kids, and those were purchased! Your generosity never ceases to amaze us!
Another thing you can do to help make this trip a success is to share our posts! You can help raise awareness for the kids just by sharing and getting the word out that these amazing children need families!
Stay tuned! It is going to be epic!
